Salute 2013

Back from Salute 2013 in London and finally awake.
It was wonderful and seem to grow from year to year.
Travelling this year was quite stressing. Sharing the double seats is not my favourite especially with someone needing more space than an avrage dinosaur like me. Anyway on the pro side the nice busdriver not only drove me direkt to Excel Center (O.K. his Hotel was there) but also picks me up on my way home to Germany. So saving the money for the train ticket and more money for the little lead fellas.
If you ave not grasped it. I traveled overnight from Duiburg, Germany via bus (10 hours) to London for visiting Salute and then leaving Saturday evening with the bus back to home. Have you ever tried to sit for 10 hours with next to no sleep???
Costa coffee (well litres of Coffee) helps a lot.
Salute is always a pleasure to attend and this year for the first time I had a great time chatting with some fellow bloggers. Ray from "Don't throw a 1" blog was the organiser and for me it was a call to wargaming mekka from "Father Ray"...
It is wonderful to see who is the person behind the posts that we all love to read. And for a continental like me chat about the way things wargame work in Britain. Well nearly the same as here but it seems less GW, FOW, etc. and more being creative.

Next Post will have some pics in it. Hope to do these tomorrow.
